Every day, our leaders go above and beyond to ensure that Griffin Mechanical is improving the way we serve customers.

Chris Gray – CEO and Principal

Chris purchased Griffin Mechanical, LLC in 2010. He holds a Master Mechanical license with the state of Tennessee. Before Griffin Mechanical, Chris spent five years as the vice president of a local mechanical construction and service company.

Chris holds an MBA from Belmont University and a BA from Penn State University. He served as a Ranger qualified infantry officer (Captain) in the US Army’s 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. He is a life member of DAV.

Chris is the past president of the Plumbing, Heating, & Cooling Contractors (PHCC), Middle Tennessee Chapter. Since 2008, he has volunteered as a Senior Examiner and Team Leader for the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence (TNCPE).

Chris lives in Middle Tennessee with his wife and two daughters.

Derek Daniel – Operations Manager 

Derek is responsible for all construction and scheduling operations at Griffin Mechanical. He joined the company in 2002.

Derek is a graduate of Middle Tennessee High School. He started his career as a sheet metal installer and was quickly promoted to lead installer and foreman. He has overseen and installed over 150 commercial construction projects.

Derek has led Griffin Mechanical’s continued construction growth, leading to incremental growth and efficiency. As Operations Manager, he handles all pre-construction, construction, and job closeouts.

Derek lives in White Bluff, TN with his wife and daughter.

Pierre Griffin – Lead Estimator 

William “Pierre” Griffin founded Griffin Mechanical in 2001. He holds a Master Mechanical license with the State of Tennessee and is certified in mold testing.

Pierre is a graduate of William James High School in White Bluff, TN. He attended Nashville Tech for robotic engineering. He has a forty-year career in the heating and cooling industry, having worked for Davis Mechanical, Reynolds Metals, and Wheeler Heat and AC.

Pierre is the lead commercial and residential estimator at Griffin Mechanical.

Pierre serves as a volunteer jail chaplain through his church. He and his wife live in White Bluff, TN. Pierre enjoys spending his free time with his son, two daughters, and five grandkids, and is a die-hard fan of UT football.
