This methodology enables us to accurately calculate the amount of heat loss and gain during winter and summer months, analyze all the thermal characteristics of your home, and consider other factors like humidity, geographic location, and more. This information is used to calculate the precise unit size needed for your specific home.

It is imperative that your new system is the proper size. If your unit is not the proper size, homeowners may face costly consequences:

  • If a unit is too small, it will run far longer than it should trying to heat or cool your home. This leads to higher energy bills and a unit that will wear itself out very quickly.
  • If a unit is too big, it will heat or cool your home too quickly, causing the unit to power on and off too often. This is called power cycling, and it can reduce the life of the unit dramatically.
